As the high pitch sound lowers Alicia was greeted by a dark cylindrical room. Under her feet is a wood colored circle taking 2/3 of the room. Outside the circle are three curved desks with what seemed to be holographic screens 4 in each desk. Each desk have one person manning it. She looked up to see a second story of the same arrangement and railings in the inner perimeter. Every person on the desk turned towards Owen and Alicia.

“Welcome back, Owen. That lady the new wizard?”

One man in the middle desk of the first floor greeted him. He said something about wizard. Alicia assumes that is what the people that can use “magic” are called.

“Yeah, this is Alicia Bell. Hey, say hello”

“Uh… h-hello?”

“Alicia Bell. Bell? Is she-”

“Yes, now move along with your work. Alicia, let’s go!”

Owen quickly answered the man’s question and push Alicia’s back out from the room. She saw a staircase outside. Probably leading the second floor as she didn’t see anything that leads there inside.

Light slowly returned as they walk along the hallway. Then, a flash of light struck Alicia’s eyes.

“Whoooa!”

It was a wide and spacious room, about 50 meters long and 50 meters wide, what to describe it is a grand courtroom with 5 rows of audience bench seat elevated to the ceiling encircling the whole room with golden exterior and the seats are made of high-quality wood and more seats below the seats above. The floor below is made of quality marble and to the opposite of the giant silver door is a gold curved stand seemingly a judge stand though there isn’t a higher stand for a prime judge. The stand is decorated with 11 banners spread equally each distinct from each other. It also have a symbol engraved in each of the banners. From left to right, the banners are:

1.A white and green banner with white on the outside and green on the inside white a symbol of a golden cross.

2.A white banner with a symbol of a small golden circle and a four-edged golden star overlapping it.

3.A blue banner with a symbol of a golden water droplet.

4.A bright yellow banner with a symbol of a golden lightning. Though the color of the banner made it hard for the symbol to be recognize.

5.A light blue banner with a symbol if a golden ice cube.

6.A light green banner with a symbol of a golden tornado.

7.A banner with dark green on left half and a brown on the other with a symbol of a golden half of a leaf on the green side and a golden half of a paw on the other.

8.A brown banner with a symbol of a golden piece of dirt.

9.A red banner with a symbol of a golden flame.

10.A black banner with a symbol of a golden circle.

11.A black and red banner with black on the out side and red on the inside with a symbol of a golden skull.

To the opposite of the stand is another similar stand but without the banner, “perhaps a witness stand?” she thought.

In amidst of the overly grand room, there was a podium in the very center of the room. It looked very old, made from stone and is covered with dirt and covered with mosses, like a stain on a pure white shirt. On top of it is no better, a scale which looked like it has been unkempt for years, it has completely rusted you can’t even know what metal its made from.

Anyone looking at it would feel unpleasant for such a junk inconspicuously standing in the middle of a fine architecture. Alicia herself felt dis-

The low to high pitch sound and then followed by a high to low pitch suddenly came from the hallway Alicia and Owen came out of then the sound of rushing footsteps.

Came out a tall 181 cm man slim for his height with short dark red hair who is relatively on his forties. His face looks like someone who just woke up in the morning without coffee and unkempt with uncleaned shaved beard. He was wearing a fine red suit which was the only decent appearance.

Incidentally, Alicia’s first impression was.

“F-Father!?”

“A-Alicia!?”

“O-Owen why is my- hey! Where are you going?”

But Owen simply ignore her and went pass who is seems to be Alicia’s father and reply.

“Good, right on time. I’m going to the clinic. So fill your daughter in.”

“Hey! Wait!”

He tried to call him but Owen was nowhere to be seen.

“Father?”

“Y-yes?”

“Would you mind explain this to me?”

The daughter asked.

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court, or Court Wizards for short is a group of all wizards like Alicia and Owen from different kinds of worlds band together to maintain every possible worlds that could exist.

Alicia’s father, Ronald, explains this in the shortest  way possible so she could understand.

While explaining in a small white room with two hospital beds opposite to each other. Alicia is sitting on one bed and her father, Ronald, in the other. there are also a desk filled with medical equipment and medicines and there is another room with a sign saying ‘SCANNER ROOM’.

Meanwhile, in the same room.

“Thirteen stabs in the back, are you sure your not dead?”

“What? You want me dead Russel?”

“That’s just a joke. Anyway, why are those two here? This place is cramped you know.”

“Beats me.”

The man Russel, taller and looks slightly older than Owen with light brown hair and wearing a white poncho was tending Owen’s wounds, sitting on a wooden stool, after he had defrosted the ice covering it to prevent blood loss. Russel waved his hand over the wound and a green light emit from his hand. All thirteen holes in his back slowly close up without any trace as if it was never there to begin with.

Alicia simply stood there in awe.

“Hey Owen. She your girlfriend?”

Owen and Alicia flustered at the sudden remark.

“W-wha- n-no!”

“Then can I take her?”

“Aren’t you a man of the cloth?”

“I’m also an archer you know.”

After what Alicia saw what seems to be healing magic, the next thing that surprised her is how Owen was holding a good casual conversation with this man named Russel. As far as she know, Owen is pretty much socially awkward. Aside from Alicia, Owen can’t hold a conversation and even with Alicia he doesn’t talk with her much often.

“Ahem.”

Came from the eldest man in the room. Both young men’s bickering is reduced to silence immediately.

“Anyways, its almost evening, so we should return home. Since tomorrow’s Saturday we will return and continue there. Any question?”

“Those mother know about this?”

“Yes. Since I became a wizard too. And all the staff in our house.”

“Hey, don’t forget that chief too.”

Then another question pops up.

“Father? You are a wizard too?”

“Yes. If not, why am I here? Well, I’m technically retired from this. Also, how come you get stabbed Owen?”

At that question, Owen snapped.

“Didn’t that old driver tell you your daughter got kidnapped? Did you just storm here after you heard a new wizard came from our world? I didn’t even visit grandma’s grave!”

“Oh…”

It was a few moments later that Ronald realized.

“Wait, what!? My daughter got kidnapped!? Explain this at once!”

And so Alicia’s first visit to the Otherworldy Court ended like that.

“F-Father!?” she gasped.

“A-Alicia!?” the man gasped back.

This man was Alicia’s father, Ronald Bell. The man who owns the largest company in the world (correction: Alicia’s world). And he suddenly appeared in this Otherworldly Court.

“Owen,” Ronald asked Owen. “Why is my daughter here? Where are you going?”

But Owen simply ignores him and went past Alicia’s father and replied, “good, right on time. I’m going to the clinic. So fill your daughter in.”

Consequently, Owen was sitting on a wooden stool while a man was behind him. The top of his bloody school uniform taken off, exposing his back full of stab wounds; the ice that covered his wounds had melted. At least that’s what Alicia thought.

“Thirteen stabs in the back,” the man chimed. “Are you sure your not dead?”

“What?” Owen snapped. “You want me dead, Russel?”

“That’s just a joke.” The man chuckled, “anyway, why are those two here? This place is cramped you know.”

Then, Owen and Russel start arguing with each other. Now Alicia was stunned. Forget being socially awkward, she is seeing her only friend having a verbal fight with the man who had just healed him.

And so Alicia’s first visit to the Otherworldly Court ended like that.
