Commands are keywords in an Order, much like reserved words of a programming language, a Maneg Soul understands when interpreting the Order. The Command ‘travel’ quite literally tells a maneg construct to move to a location parameter specified after the Command. There can be duplicate Commands doing the same thing like ‘coat’ and ‘cover’ having identical functions.

It is thought that Commands are learned through repeated usage of a single word denoting a single function in an Order until the Maneg Soul performing gets it. Then, because the Maneg Soul is still connected to its Mother Soul as attested by the Guardians, it sends the knowledge of the Command to its Mother Soul that then passes it down to future Maneg Souls it produces.

There are, however, Commands so esoteric only the originating Maneg Soul can understand, giving the respective Court Wizard sole access to the as esoteric Order. And while all Elements of the Mother Souls generally share an understanding of most Commands, there are Commands tied to the Element like ‘oxidize’ only working for Fire.

Commands are a central part of Orders as they make it easier for Court Wizards to convey the Orders they want. Two of the most used Commands are ‘form’ and ‘create’ and are in almost every Order regardless of element. They are commonly used as the first word of a step, but there may be exceptions and there can be more than one Command per step. It is possible for just the Commands to be used in a step and omit parameters altogether, the Maneg Soul will use a default value the Court Wizard has to find it out by trying it.

Amelia Rickens, the Court Wizard in charge of classifying the list of Commands, is still working on a complete archive of known Commands and is thinking of a formal Command ‘typing’ to be added.

attach

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

Usually, the Court Wizard places the Order in the environment, where the enemy can escape from it. This Command instead allows maneg to stick itself to a part of a target, thus following where the target moves. If it’s attached to their arm, then the maneg will move where the arm moves as it is stuck to it. While this Command does not do damage in itself, this Command will allow further Commands to almost guarantee to hit the target unless they cut off the part the maneg attached itself to.

boil

Suitable Elements: fire

An application of fire is to heat things until it boils. This Command instructs fire maneg to do just that, boil objects in ways the Fire Court Wizard specifies.

burst

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

This Command instructs maneg to come out from an origin point as if it were lightweight-accordioning air inside a bottle, bursting its cap out in an explosive manner.

change

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

This Command allows Court Wizards to alter an existing non-shape property of their Order depending on their Element. For example, a light Order can have its light intensity changed.

coat/cover

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

With the two names having the same effect, coat/cover wraps maneg around an object/entity specified by the Court Wizard including themselves. Any object/entity wrapped will be afflicted by whatever side effects caused by the Element of the maneg (like being burned alive by fire maneg, for instance) unless the Court Wizard is able to command it otherwise.

contact

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

A conditional Command to tell maneg to perform a step in an Order only when it, or a part of it, makes contact with something the Court Wizard specifies. Usually used for trigger Orders as the trigger condition.

create

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

One of the two most common Command Classes. It can be best described as producing a maneg construct that fully interacts with the environment most notably being affected by gravity. Court Wizards can directly hold maneg creation, using them as weapons or other equipment.

decrease/lower

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

With the two names having the same effect, and as stated, these Commands detract the value of something within an Order, whether it’d be the temperature of a fire Order or the intensity of a light Order. What the Court Wizard decreases depends on the Order and Element.

delay

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

The Command in [Order Delay] allows the Court Wizard to put a ‘timer’ before the next step of an Order for whatever use the Court Wizard need. Court Wizards have full freedom of how the delay works, whether it’d be a simple countdown, a condition, or even when the Court Wizard wants the Order to continue.

discharge

Suitable Element: lightning

Lightning maneg by its normal state is akin to a live wire, only dangerous when touched directly. This Command instructs lightning maneg to ‘discharge’ electricity from itself, allowing Lightning Court Wizards the basic shoot lightning out of their Orders.

dismiss

Suitable Element: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

Used to ‘dismiss’ a part of a Court Wizard’s Order as if it was ended while still continuing the Order for any reason.

disperse

Suitable Element: light

This Command makes use of one of the properties of light and instructs light maneg to disperse into all colors of the rainbow if it’s from white light. The colors the light maneg disperses into will depend on the Light Court Wizard’s Element Color.

emit

Suitable Elements: light

By default, light maneg out of the Fantasy Law only glow. This Command instructs those light maneg to essentially shine brighter with the intensity specified by the Court Wizard up to an unknown amount.

expand

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

This Command tells maneg creation/formation to spread itself out, increasing its size and volume as much as the available maneg in the Order.

form

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

One of the two most common Command Classes. It can be best described as producing a maneg construct that partially interacts with the environment. The most obvious actualization is how maneg formations are not affected by gravity and will generally stay in the place it’s formed unless specified by the Court Wizard or forcefully moved by an external force although that is generally a hard thing to do, and the command ‘lock’ can make sure the maneg formations stays in place.

gather

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

A Command that tells maneg within a Court Wizard to go out and coalesce at a specified point in the preparation for the next step.

ignore

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

The very Command that allows the Power of Ignorance of Court Wizards to be possible. This Command instructs the maneg of an Order to temporarily hide into the Fantasy Law as if it were in its inactive state. The most immediate application of this Command is for Orders to easily bypass any form of barriers by phasing into the Fantasy Law and emerge out of the Fantasy Law at the other side, hence ‘ignoring’ the barrier. Unless the barrier extends into the Fantasy Law, which is very unlikely to be encountered, the Power of Ignorance will render any form of defense useless.

By default, just the Command will instruct the Order to ignore one solid obstacle in its path, whether it’s the Order that’s coming into the obstacle or the other way around. So for example, an [Elemental Ball] given two ignores will bypass two walls and then hit the target. It doesn’t matter how thick the wall is, the Order will automatically emerge on the other side of the wall. However, do note that Orders expire faster while hiding under the Fantasy Law, so it is possible for an Order to just be dissolved before reemerging.

increase

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

As stated in its name, this Command adds the value of something within an Order, whether it’d be the temperature of a fire Order or the intensity of a light Order. What the Court Wizard increases depends on the Order and Element.

lock

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

Usually used for formation Orders, this Command forces the maneg formation to ‘lock’ itself in place. While this Command is unnecessary as by default maneg formation does not move unless ordered after it’s formed, it may still be moved by outside forces. This Command guarantees that it does not, assuring Court Wizards when they step on it or stopping huge objects that may push the maneg formation instead. And who couldn’t say no to extra Time Interval although extra maneg is still churned out as those maneg maintain the lock.

oxidize

Suitable Element: fire

By default, fire maneg in physical form oxidizes minimum oxygen around the area to produce fire and retain oxygen for the user to breathe. This command bypasses the safety mechanism to order the fire maneg to oxidize all oxygen around its area (default is 30 cm around its perimeter) to produce a more powerful flame but could also cause asphyxiation to the user if they are not careful.

You can also do the opposite by saying ‘do not oxidize.’ It will cause the fire maneg to not light up on fire and become a ‘lump of coal,’ but it should be given around the beginning if it is used on a Progressive Order.

Amelia Rickens discovered this command while researching maneg Elements. It is unknown when the Mother Soul of Fire developed this Command.

protrude

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

A general Command to allow Court Wizards to quickly sculpt their maneg creation/formation to increase in length. It is most suitable for maneg creations/formations that are thin in nature, like bamboo.

receiver only

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

An accessory Command to [Telepathy] used at the start (for 1st method) or the end of the message (for 2nd method) that orders additional maneg to wrap around the maneg sending the message to prevent it from being ‘spilled-over’ to other Court Wizards in its pathway. This ensures that only the receiver gets the message.

reflect

Suitable Element: light

Making use of light properties, this Command instructs light maneg to reflect oncoming light from the environment at an angle specified by the Light Court Wizard, or at the same angle by default.

refract

Suitable Element: light

Making use of light properties, this Command instructs light maneg to refract light from the environment that passes through it at an index specified by the Light Court Wizard. Conditions as to how the light can be refracted can be specified by the Light Court Wizard.

reinforce

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

By default, maneg constructs have varying levels of toughness based on the Order. This Command basically adds more maneg to a construct thereby making them very hard to destroy. Court Wizards can use this Command to make sure the maneg formation/creation they built doesn’t break upon outside force though a sufficient strike can still break it.

release

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

Primarily used in [Eject], this Command simply instructs maneg to leave at an origin point on the Court Wizard, all at once. By also specifying how much maneg is released, it can cause the Court Wizard to be pushed by the force of so much maneg leaving the body.

repeat

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

The Command in [Order Repeat]. It allows Court Wizards to either use the last Order they used again or the last step they the next step without having to recite them – basically to make the Court Wizard’s life easier by not having to say the same long Orders/steps over and over again if they can help it. What the Court Wizard wants to repeat depends on their specification.

return

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

This Command ‘returns’ something to the Court Wizard from something the Court Wizard specifies in a form the Court Wizard specifies. This Command is most commonly used in [Elemental Scan] where the return step displays what the Order scanned.

save

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

This Command stores something an Order obtained for the Court Wizard, whether it’d be the results of a scan, the shape of an object the Order made contact with, etc., and can be used for later use.

scan

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

Mostly featured in [Elemental Scan], this Command instructs maneg to seek out signatures related to its Element specified by the Court Wizard in a specified radius.

sculpt

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

Court Wizards can only form/create one simple shape in a step. If they need a more complicated formation/creation, they can use sculpt to modify it in the next step, which can only be one modification so the next modification needs to be in another sculpting step. Naturally, this Command will consume additional maneg according to the modification ordered.

set

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

This Command allows Court Wizards to apply a non-shape property or alter an existing one on their Order depending on their Element. For example, a light Order can have its light intensity changed or be given a trigger with set.

spray

Suitable Elements: water, ice, air, earth, fire

A Command to instruct maneg to ‘spray’ from a specified origin point as if it were a liquid in a spray can or a water hose.

travel

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

A maneg formation by default stays in the spot it was formed. This Command allows for that formation to move from its location in whichever direction the Court Wizard wants.

trigger

Suitable Elements: life, light, water, lightning, ice, air, nature, earth, fire, dark, death

A Command that allows for a step of an Order to be performed under a condition. The usage for this Order has three steps; establish the trigger by setting it to a maneg construct; establish the condition for the trigger and finally; establish the step the Order should perform when the trigger condition is true.
