A lavish room

Tattered

A high-quality desk

Rotated 90 degrees, destroyed

An old man in noble-like clothing

A husk without its life

Beside, a robed one covered in the same shade as the earth with blood splattered over it

A little boy, crying

The robed one approached the little crying boy

It spoke

“Do you want revenge?”

The crying little boy is an angry little boy

The angry little boy nods

“I won’t let you.”

SLASH

The dreamer woke up. Dream forgotten.

A white ceiling.

That was the first thing Alicia sees when she came to. She was on a hospital bed. A white sheet was covering her body. She was still wearing the same clothing. There was still a bit of a headache, but she could bear with it.

She looked to her right to see Owen sitting on a chair beside her bed with his head downcast.

As Alicia got up, Owen noticed.

“Alicia! Are you alright?” Owen said as he stood up from his chair.

“Yes, I am fine. I have a slight headache though…”

“Thank goodness…” Owen sighed in relief. “Also, sorry.”

“Why are you apologizing?”

“We completely forgot the most important thing about loyal maneg,” Russel answered her.

Alice also entered the room. “Yes, forgive us.”

I’m sorry too, Alicia! I freakin’ forgot about it and I’m supposed to be loyal maneg! Even Voice apologized to her.

“Alright, I understand. So, what was it that you forgot to tell me?”

“Did you remember that I told you that loyal maneg is the ‘vital’ part of your Maneg Soul?” Alice said.

“Yes, though I do not understand it.”

“Yes… I should explain.”

A Maneg Soul merging with a soul, turning the soul to consist of disloyal and loyal maneg. It’s not accurate enough.

Back to a glass of water, the water is the lifeforce of the soul or whatever you want to call it and the glass is the container.

The Maneg Soul fuses with the water. Also, it ‘compresses’ its volume to n percent on average of the glass. This is loyal maneg.

(Please don’t ask how water could be compressed, the glass water is just a metaphorical model)

The remaining empty part of the glass gets filled with disloyal maneg.

Hence, although losing too much disloyal mana does cause bad side effects, it isn’t too life-threatening.

Losing loyal maneg is. It is your actual soul.

Loyal maneg never leaves the Court Wizard like disloyal maneg but, it can be weakened and damaged. They regenerate though. When that happens, the physical body suffers the backlash like what happened to Alicia using loyal maneg to block incoming orders. When the barrier is destroyed, Alicia received the backlash to her physical body. This is why Court Wizards don’t use loyal maneg often as it is dangerous.

However, loyal maneg isn’t so fragile.

Loyal maneg gains resistance to damage if a large amount of it is concentrated in a small space. The case with Voice as she manifests herself with 30 percent loyal maneg in a tiny body.

So, even if Voice gets smashed in someone’s hands, Alicia wouldn’t get hurt, but if Voice did get destroyed, it would be serious trouble for Alicia.

Cherished armaments too are near-indestructible with 10 percent (10 out of 30 so it’s actually like 33.33 Percent of Alicia were to have one) loyal maneg and that it is from physical object reinforced, increasing the loyal maneg’s resistance to damage. Even if the cherished armament break, it doesn’t hurt the user for some apparent reason.

The most confusing part is that even if a Court Wizard’s loyal maneg condensed to 30 percent is the 100 percent of his actual soul and is treated as 30 percent of his soul at the same time, 70 percent is disloyal maneg which still counts as a part of his soul. When giving an Order with more maneg than the minimum amount needed he has to specify the percentage of the disloyal maneg used in which in his case, the percentage of disloyal maneg used out of 70 percent in his Maneg Soul, not out of 100 percent of his disloyal maneg.

Another thing to note is that people who could see people’s souls would find Court WIzard’s soul to be incomplete and yet, at the same time, it’s also complete.

“Um…”

“I do not understand it either. I am simply relaying the facts according to the book. Anyways, that is all, do you understand?”

“Yes, I do. Most of it.”

“Right, from now on, you need to be careful when giving orders to your loyal maneg.”

“I understand.”

Now that this incident happened, new rules were set: Voice will have to restrict the amount of loyal maneg even more. Although Alicia losing consciousness is the result of her loyal maneg broken for the first time, this is a precaution until Alicia can bear a hit from a loyal maneg breakage.

While Alice explains the implications of using loyal maneg, Alicia could hear the sounds of a woman yelling at someone. Alicia decided to ask Alice about it.
To which Alice answered, “it is Rose, Jill, Crea, and Luna yelling at Hanz and Blaze. Crea is Hanz’s partner and Luna is Blaze’s sister. We should introduce them to you.”

Just outside the infirmary, 4 women were ganging up on two men kneeling in a Japanese ‘seiza’ against the wall. The four women were yelling at the two poor males.
The two boys were Hanz and Blaze. Hanz looked the same with his red army uniform, but Blaze did not have the horns, reptile limbs he had previously. Blaze looked like a normal 6-year-old now.

The four women were: Jill, Rose, Luna, and Crea.

Rose was standing thanks to loyal maneg supporting her damaged leg which she refused to be healed.

Luna was a little girl, 110 cm tall, who looked six with a bright blue hair in a bob haircut and light blue eyes. She wore a blue one-piece dress and white slippers.

Crea was a woman 151 cm tall. She had a dark blue hair in a bob haircut similar to Luna. She has dark blue eyes like the sea. She was wearing a brown dress, something a villager would wear, not a soldier uniform like Hanz.

It seems they managed to have something to yell at them from the moment Alicia was transferred to the infirmary until now. Alicia passed out for about 30 minutes.

“You sir! Stop ordering explosions every day! You are disturbing people!”

“Brother! You stop picking fights with Hanz over childish things! You too, Hanz!”

While the girls were yelling at the two poor boys nonstop, there was Aqua, James, Richard, Will, and another Court Wizard Alicia did not know watching the girls verbally abusing their victims.

The spectators noticed Alicia and co. coming out of the infirmary. The unfamiliar wizard greeted her in a light tone first.

190 cm tall with a golden hair reaching the waist and bright blue eyes. The person was wearing an article of decorated priest-like clothing.

“Greetings, Alicia. Are you fine?”

“Yes, I am. Who are you?”

“My name is Gabriel. I am the Guardian of the Mother Soul of Life. Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you. My name is Alicia. You are a man, correct?”

“I see you’re quite observant. Yes, I am male.”

“Thank you.”

“Wow, I never knew someone would notice master Gabriel is a guy right away,” Russel said.

“Anyway,” Gabriel said. “I apologize for Blaze’s actions. He will reflect upon it as you can see.”

“I-I can see that. So, who or what is Blaze?”

“Blaze… and Luna too are called dragon-morph. They are dragons, a fire dragon, and an ice dragon respectively. However, the form you have seen is called a half-dragon form. They are still top young to morph into a full dragon.”

“I assume the morph comes from the fact they have human forms?”

“Yes, that is correct. In my world, they are simply called dragons, however, here in the

Otherworldly Court, we named them with consideration of the human form,” Gabriel explained. He continued, “they are under my care as they are from my world and also because I was requested to do it.”

The rest of the onlookers gave their response to Alicia’s recovery.

“”Alicia! Are you okay?”” Rose and Jill shouted after noticing Alicia.

“Yes, I am fine,” she replied.

“Thank goodness…” Rose sighed in relief.

Then, Luna spoke, “hello Alicia, my name is Luna. I apologize for my brother’s action. Brother! Say sorry to her!”

“S-Sorry…” Luna’s brother, Blaze, apologized.

“It is alright,” Alicia said. “I forgive you.”

Then the girl in the blue soldier uniform approaches Alicia. “My name is Crea and I also apologize on the behalf of my comrade. Hanz,” the girl said and glared at the red soldier, beckoning him to say sorry.

“S-Sorry…” Hanz meekly said.

“I understand,” Alicia replied, “but picking a fight with a child is still unreasonable. Even if its a kid who might actually be older, he is still mentally a child. Is that clear?”

“Y-Yes ma’am,” Hanz replied in a military-like fashion.

Dragon-morphs like Blaze and Luna of their world lived around a thousand or more of years. They grow and mature accordingly to the stretch of a thousand-year. Blaze and Luna who look six are actually in their sixties.

“Now that all of this is clear,” Rose said.”Ladies, shall we have a tea party to celebrate Alicia’s recovery?”

“””Sure!”””

The rest of the women agreed and so they went.

“Damn,” Russel commented. “How did the girls suddenly from yelling at you two to having a tea party?”

“Don’t question it,” Owen answered. “We’ll never understand.”

“True,” James added.

“Hey Owen,” Will said.

“Yeah?”

“How are we going to say to Ronald about this?”

“About what?” Owen said confusingly and realized. “Ooh… That.”

“It won’t be just you, he’ll definitely drop into my apartment from a helicopter to kill me

if he finds out his only daughter got injured.”

“It should be fine as long as I don’t tell him.”

“Right, let’s hope so.”

Back in Kaomagi Earth, Ronald got news of Alicia getting wounded and losing consciousness. Ronald got hold of Owen and got Will who lived in another state by dropping by at his apartment by helicopter.

He also went to the Otherworldly Court to get a hold of Blaze and Hanz.

No need to know what happened after.

So was Alicia’s first day as a Court Wizard.
